1. What is Print Online?

Print Online is web-to-print ordering system. More technically, it is a web-based job submission and print production software solution. Using a Web browser, you can submit electronic files or choose them from a catalog for digital print production.

2. How does it work?

Using your Web browser, upload or choose from a catalog the files you want printed.  You can specify how each document should be produced and delivered - all without downloading custom software onto your computer.

3. What file formats are supported?

No, there is no limit.

9. Why should I use this service when I can send e-mail document attachments?

The online ordering service is quick and secure. E-mail document attachments can become corrupted in the transmission process, may not open due to software incompatibility, and may be easily lost, ignored, or deleted. E-mail document attachments also place the burden of printing a document on the recipient.

1. How long does it take to upload a document?

Upload times depend on the size of the file, the amount of graphics, modem speed, and other variables. High-speed modems, including cable modems and DSL lines, decrease upload time.

2. Where did some of the files in my Personal Filing Cabinet go?

Files stored in the Personl Filing Cabinet that have not been added to an order have a lifetime of 180 days.

3. If I send out the same document more than once, do I need to upload it each time?

No. The ordering system provides you with a personal filing cabinet, which is ideal for storing documents sent out frequently, such as presentations, manuals, brochures, sales information, or even price lists. Once documents have been stored in your personal filing cabinet, you can access and send them from any Internet-enabled computer or device.

4. How late can I upload a document?

You can upload documents at any time.

5. What are the personal and corporate address books?

Both the personal and corporate address books allow you to store names and addresses for future use. By storing recipient details in address books, you can conveniently select recipients without having to re-enter their information. Also, when your contacts are stored in the address books, you can send a document at a moment's notice from any Internet-enabled computer or device; you do not need to have the contact's information with you.

6. If I am sending a document to a recipient, can I send a personal note?

Yes. The "Edit Cover Note Comment" function allows you to send a personalized note of up to 15 lines to your recipient.

7. How can I pay for my order?

All payments must be made at the time of pick-up at the OfficeMax ImPress Print Center location handling the order.

8. If I close my browser in the middle of an order will I have to start all over again??

No. In your Order History you can resume an incomplete order by selecting Resume.

9. Can I edit my documents stored in my personal filing cabinet?

No. Documents stored in the personal filing cabinet can not be edited on the server. For security and privacy reasons, you should revise files on your computer and upload them again.

10. Can the ordering system match my fonts?

We do not guarantee that we can match your fonts.  We do have many of the most common fonts. You may use the print preview function to examine your fonts before placing an order.

11. How can I be sure that my document will be printed exactly as I expect?

The print preview function allows you to view and examine your document before placing an order. The document will print with the same dimensions, fonts, line-wrapping, and other formatting that appears in the print preview. Please note that preview images are lower-resolution than the final production output in order to reduce the time it takes to download the images over your Internet connection.

12. Can I use the browser "Forward" and "Back" buttons to navigate through the process of submitting a document?

It is recommended that you instead use the "Next" and "Previous" buttons on the Web site to navigate back and forth through the process of submitting a document. Some browsers may allow you to use the "Forward" and "Back" buttons as well; however, if you receive a "Data Missing" error, click the "Reload" button.

13. Do I need to be at my computer to use the ordering system or to access my account?

No. You can access the service from any Internet-enabled computer or device, including devices found in airport terminals.
